Evil Tattoos
When people talk of evil tattoo designs they are usually referring to either horror tattoos, as the one shown in the picture, or tattoos that use pagan symbols. This latter category of tattoos mainly deals with the fact that what may be called as "occult". These images are in association with the white witchcraft which has another name called Wicca, the Viking Runes, The Tarot and other magic craft and prophesy. Images like the pentacle which is a five pointed star, or the Athame which is a double edged blade that is used for white witchcraft. There are also images in relation with the four elements which are the fire, water, earth and air. All of the above mentioned images fall under the Wicca tattoos. Many people tend to think that these occult gothic tattoos are evil tattoos. For all those who think like this let me make you clear that what you think is absolutely wrong. These images neither have evil qualities nor do they have anything to do with so called ‘Satanism’. These images are just the signs of prehistoric religions in the medieval period, which gothic tattoo lovers dig out and celebrate by getting these designs etched on their bodies in ink. And the horror designs are not evil tattoos either, nor they do they represent a serious sociopathic personality. It’s just a design that’s cool and shows one’s love for the horror genre.

When the topic of evil tattoos are mentioned in public circles, it’s usually in reference to classic horror designs depicting demons and ghouls or tattoos that are of an occult nature. The former characterization is what the grim reaper design in the photo alludes to. It’s a cool design but is far from being an evil tattoo. The grim reaper is a potent symbol of death and a graphic reminder of the transitory nature of life. The grim Reaper and the skull were often used as symbols in medieval and renaissance art as a stark reminder of the fact that life is finite and hints powerfully at the afterlife that awaits us. The grim reaper is often associated as an agent of Satan or the devil, but this is not necessarily the case. The grim reaper is death. Whether the soul goes to heaven or hell or ends up in purgatory depends on the kind of life lived by the recently deceased. So, as you can see this design is by no means an evil tattoo. It’s just symbolic of it’s deeper intrinsic meaning and because of that it often stirs feelings of discomfort in people who view it. But, how seriously can you take the design when it features the grim reaper riding a motorcycle. A cool tattoo? Most definitely. An evil tattoo? I really don’t think so.

Arm Tribal Tattoos
Kick ass tattoo in my opinion. I really like this one, its got great design and the colors match almost perfectly. Blue and Red, you can never go wrong with that combination when it comes to arm tribal tattoos. The edges seem razor sharp and the points are right on the money. Great tattoo, the only thing I would have done a little different is bring the lowest tip to the very back of the elbow. But all in all I really like this hot tattoo. I wonder if he has another one on his other arm, that would be cool if he did and it was reversed in colors.

That’s what I really like about arm tribal tattoos, you can reverse them, especially if the tattoos are right next to each other, and it looks amazing as hell. I have seen quite a few using this design lately with a face in the background, kind of like a watermark. Makes the face seem like its looking out at you from a distant fog. If you have seen any cartoons on the television lately you will notice a lot of designs just like this are being used, and the kids love it big time.

I would call this arm tribal tattoo a pretty basic representation of what you can do with this design element. It’s done in a full sleeve style that extends from the upper shoulder and concludes at the person’s wrist and the ink work is deep and dark as you would expect it to be. But, this arm tribal tattoo didn’t have to be done in the full sleeve style. It could have easily be done in a half sleeve or even as just a small emblem on the top of this person’s arm. Another thing that this person could have done with the design was to stray from the use of all black ink. I know that it’s a little against normal conventions but could you imagine how this design would have looked if it was done in a deep crimson or even in a sky blue color? I don’t know why people are so afraid to include color in their arm tribal tattoos. If you look at traditional tribal tattoos that were done half a century or so ago you would notice one thing. These tribal designs were often done in shades of red, brown and black. I’m not sure why the form has changed to only encompass black designs but that is what has become the norm today.

Lil Wayne Tattoos
Lil Wayne’s tattoos have always been a topic of great debate among his many fans, he has so many of them that it would be very difficult to describe them all in the space here. Since this is the case I am going to focus on the most obvious ones, the ones which are found on his face and mouth. One of his most controversial tattoos are the teardrops underneath his eyes. Now, in prison, teardrops usually mean that you have murdered someone. But, I think there is a different reason for this Lil Wayne tattoo. I think they represent three of his close friends who have died. Since he has two tear drops below one of his eyes and one tear below the other eye they probably relate to two separate instances when his loved ones died. Other Lil Wayne tattoos on his face include designs which are placed on his eye lids which together read "Fear God". He also has a letter "C" tattooed right in between his eyebrows, some people say that it stands for Carter which is his last name, right above that "C" there is a cross that indicates that he believes in God.

Okay, there are a ton of Lil Wayne tattoos. So many, in fact that I’m not even really sure where to start. When talking about Lil Wayne tattoos should I start with his chest, face, arms, legs or back. I guess since the picture is of the tattoos that is on his back then I will start there. The ink that is on his back is actually a prayer. Want to know what it says? Then let’s go over it. The prayer reads; "Give me the patience that I need to keep my piece of mind, And with life’s cares, I hope, Dear God, some happiness to find. Give me the courage to face life’s trials and not from troubles run. Let me keep this thought in mind. "Thy Will," not "Mine," be done. Next to the prayer tattoo he has a large Chinese symbol tattoo. I don’t exactly know what it means but it looks really cool. I think that this symbol has since been covered up by a large skull but don’t quote me on that. But, these are only a small sampling of all the ink that he has. Lil Wayne tattoo collection is so large and extensive I could probably make a career about talking about it!

Rosary Tattoos
Depicted in the picture is the perfect example of a rosary tattoo. It’s a wonderful way to express your faith or show your devotion to your church. But, how much do we really know about the rosary? I would venture that most people, even those who get rosary tattoos, know very little about this religious symbol. The Rosary is the tradition filled essence of Christian devotion in which vocal and mental prayer unite the whole person in effective and purposeful meditation on the central mysteries of Christian belief. The Rosary thus joins the human race to God through Mary whom God chose from all time for the specific purposes of mother and intercessor. Each bead in the rosary is prayed upon until the entire series is completed. It is a practice that started in the middle ages and continues to be practiced today. So, if your one of the faithful or you simple want to show your devotion to your religion then a rosary tattoo might be just what your looking for. The rosary tattoo can also be utilized to memorialize a person who has passed away as well. Try adding in lettering or other religious symbols to further personalize it to your specific needs and ideals.

Rosary Tattoos
Here’s a person with one of those rosary tattoos that appears almost as if the person was wearing a real rosary on their arm. After all that is what you would think if you saw this one from just a ten or so feet away. At first glance you would assume it was a real rosary and only with a closer look would your realize that his person was actually wearing nothing more than some ink on their skin.

This is one of rosary tattoos that has what would be the beads of the rosary wrapped around this persons arm two times which really gives the illusion of it being a real rosary holding up its cross. But the cross is just a bit out of place, being a Celtic type of iron cross it is not one you would usually see on a rosary but I certainly imagine it could be. I know very little about organized religion so I can’t answer those things. What I do know is seeing that type of cross on a rosary is uncommon, that’s all. Is you ever think of getting one of these rosary tattoos just pick one that matches a rosary you would carry and you can’t go wrong.

Lion Tattoo
We are all familiar with lion tattoos. I think that most people have seen these tattoos either online or on an actual persons skin. But, not a whole lot of people are familiar with the symbolic meaning that these beast hold. So, let’s take a moment and take a look at the symbolism behind lion tattoos. Lions represent a whole host of traits which include strength, nobility and determination of spirit. But, lion tattoos can also represent courage, personal intensity and conquest. Of course with any animal that has a strong symbolic nature there are also some negative traits associated with the lion. These include vanity, pride and savagery. Also, the lion tattoo can have a religious meaning as well. It has come to symbolize Jesus Christ in almost every form of Christianity. And this is especially true when combined with a crucifix or crown tattoo. But, no matter what meaning you associate with the lion tattoo, it’s a design choice that identifies you as king of the jungle. And hopefully other people will view your new tattoo in that light as well. Now, who wouldn’t want a design like as a new tattoo addition or to complement an already established tattoo collection?

Lion Tattoo

The lion tattoo in the picture is an impressive example of what can be done with a little ink and the portrayal of these majestic beast. But, lion tattoos aren’t just beautiful, they also have a deep symbolism behind them. A lion symbolizes pride and nobility. It signifies power and strength. If you wish to get lion tattoos, here are some tips you need to follow. Check for lion tattoos patterns and designs at your local tattoo shops and talk to a few of the artist. They can be an invaluable resource for getting ideas about where you want to go with your design. If you can’t make up your mind because everything is beautiful and artistically designed then you need to choose your top 3 best lion tattoo designs. Ask your family and friends to look at the designs and let them vote for the pattern that suits your personality and style. Depending on which part of your body you wish for the lion pattern to be tattooed, the design can be altered to change in size. If you plan to have a lion on your back then the design can be extremely intricate and big. If you plan to have the lion on your neck or leg, the design may be reduced in size. Once you have completed all these steps then get ready to have your lion tattoo inked into your skin. Then you can enjoy it for a lifetime.

Turtle Tattoos
If your thinking of getting a turtle tattoo there are many different styles available to you. You can choose from a tribal turtle, to a cartoon type turtle or even an actual depiction of a turtle as shown in the picture. But, there is one thing for certain. Turtle tattoos have a very deep and well established symbolism especially in Native American cultures. The turtle is a major character in Native American mythology. In some stories the turtle is responsible for creating North America and in other stories turtles are responsible for the creation of the entire world!! According to the vast majority of these stories, the spirit of the sky was looking down from the heavens through a hole she had found when suddenly she fell through and plummeted into the vast waters below. Concerned for her life, the Great Sea Turtle swam deep to the bottom of the waters, scooped up some earth on its back, and carried it back to the surface as a place for Sky Spirit to stand on. But, even if your not interested in the Native American interpretations of the turtle design, a turtle tattoo can still make a deeply meaningful design. Attribute your own meanings to it and make it a part of yourself.

Turtle Tattoos
I personally am a huge fan of turtle tattoos, and this one really interested me by the way it was designed. I really like how there is water and bubbles around the turtle which were used with a cornflower blue and a pastel blue. I like turtle tattoos so much I think I am going to get a few on my arms and lower back. I just recently bought a large book with hundreds of pictures of turtle tattoos, and this really helped me decide how I want my tattoos to be designed. My family thinks I am crazy for liking them so much, but I could care less because turtle tattoos are symbolic for being strong and empowered.

I would recommend getting a tattoo of a turtle as a first choice to anyone. If you really know which tattoo you want to get then contact a local artist and have him or her show you their work and see if they can take care of the design you really want. Its not that hard once you find the right tattoo artist. I know a couple here in town that I trust with almost any tattoo I want put on. Their is one girl that is the best I have ever seen anywhere.

Joker Tattoo

Joker Tattoo
Joker Tattoo
The Joker tattoo is a derivative style taken from traditional clown motifs. The clown is often indicative of humor and entertainment. Though they are often seen as a fun loving and jolly character, there is often a flip side to their personalities with an underlying bitterness or sadness about them. They are the lighthearted souls who are often struggling against their own inadequacies. Despite their attempts they always end up falling on their faces. As the king’s jester, the clown mocked authority and ridiculed the establishment. Anything generally accepted as common knowledge was fodder for the jester’s ridicule. The jester was the only one who dared talk back to the king. In fact, that was his role, to think laterally, to think outside box, to abandon reason, and precisely for this reason were his ideas often incorporated into official policy. Besides he joker tattoo, other sub groups of clowns are often grouped together under the same heading. These include jesters, minstrels, tramps, tricksters, troubadours, and mimes. The joker is also associated with the fools depicted on playing cards or the "Fool" in the tarot deck. Even though the Joker is seen as someone foolish they are also quite intelligent.

Joker Tattoo
Joker Tattoo
Joker tattoos used to be associated with playing cards and is related to ‘The Fool’ in tarot cards. As a playing card they usually have special powers and can be used in play or not as in ‘jokers wild’. Even though the joker is seen as someone foolish, they are also quite intelligent. They rise above their circumstance by laughing at the serious and sometimes tragic world. Thus, they are the ultimate symbol of resilience. But, nowadays the joker tattoo has taken on a more garish and ghoulish design. There seems to have been an evolution from the friendly fools of the tarot into sinister monsters and demons that haunts the recesses of our subconscious. Take a look at the examples in the picture. You can barely see the resemblance that jokers once shared with clown and mimes. The trend began to tip towards the horror spectrum. As a result the symbolism of the joker tattoo has also moved towards the macabre and evil. They are now portrayed as sinister tricksters ruthless in their pursuit of our dreams and perhaps our souls. No longer do they rise above strife or hardship but seem to be the instigators of it.

Hearts Tattoos
A lot of people are familiar with heart tattoos. But, not too many people know what the sacred heart tattoo means or even what it is. The heart tattoo is the classic example of a sacred heart depiction. The Sacred Heart is one of the most easily recognized symbols of the Christianity, and represents the love of Jesus Christ for every man, woman and child. This heart tattoo appears as a heart in flames, pierced by a wound from a lance, and enclosed in a crown of thorns. The flames represent love and spiritual fervor. The crown represents Jesus as the King of Heaven and the bleeding is representative of the way in which Jesus died. If you remember the biblical story, a Roman spear was thrust into Jesus’ side and a crown of thorns placed upon his head. This heart tattoo is a pretty good depiction of the burning heart style. While it’s not a classic representation, it comes pretty close to capturing the essence of the design. If the bearer wanted to personalize this design to his personality, he could add many different elements, including a tribal element to it.

Hearts Tattoos
Hearts Tattoos
Here’s another whimsical collection of heart tattoos for all you ink lovers out there. Some of the designs are cute but most of them are rather perplexing to me. Take the heart tattoo on the upper right hand corner. A heart with a cigarette shoved through it. What’s that supposed to mean? I’m not exactly sure. Maybe the person is saying that they had a real love, or rather addiction I should say, for cigarettes but now they have quit. On the other hand it might have no meaning whatsoever. There are a few heart tattoos in this collection that I think are rather cool though. The first one I like is right in the center of the other heart tattoos. A hot rod heart design! That is pretty hot if you ask me. The other design that I like is the heart tattoo with a piercing through it. I know quite a lot of people who have gotten pierced and this would make a great design for their next ink project. Tell me, which of these heart tattoos do you like the most? Don’t worry, I won’t tell anybody. Your secret is safe with me. At least for now.

Tattoo Wings
Tattoo Wings
When it comes to tattoo wings you have several options available to you and what follows are some of the ideas you can use to help decide what type of tattoos with wings you would like. Angel Wings: Some people choose to have their shoulders and back tattooed to look as if they actually have angel wings! Most people who have these types of decorative wings tattoos wear the designs for religious reference or symbolism. Demon Wings: Alternatively, some people have demon wings tattooed onto their back and shoulders. These types are quite similar in design to the angel wings mentioned above and again they are usually obtained for religious reference or symbolism. Fairy Wings: These types of tattoo wings are for people who are enjoy fantasy art. Again the tattoos are usually worn on the shoulders and back, however the design style of fairy wings tattoos are more popular with women than men. And of course there is the popular tribal wing tattoo as seen in the picture. These can be combined with other elements such as dragons, serpents and other creatures to bring the tattoo wings design up a notch. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

Tattoo Wings
Tattoo Wings
Here we have a whole sheet of tattoo wings. Angel wings I would assume. Nine sets o them to be exact. All just a little bit enough different to make themselves each stand out alone. Some look like they are sort of loose feathers draped over other loose feathers while other sets look a lot more symmetrical and hard lined, more defined if you will. I would think the former is more realistic because I don’t if there is a single bird in the sky that actually has uniformed, perfectly matched wings. There may be some but probably not the majority of them anyway.

As far as tattoos go, I like the big angel wings, most especially on girls. I just think they look very cool. And I really like them when they are all filled in with colors too, though I have only seen that once or twice before. Most times I have seen girls with tattoo wings they have been in that ugly default tattoo green color and while I still find that kind of tattoo attractive on a girl, that color almost kills it for me. What is it with that color anyway? This is the 21st century, can’t we get rid of that?

Chest Tattoo
This chest tattoo brings a dark picture together with bright colors and flowers. The color’s used in this chest tattoo are green, blue, orange, pink, gold, white, tan, purple, and black, and all the colors are blended real well. The skulls in this chest tattoo are grey with hints of white around the edges and the teeth. One tooth on each skull is gold. The eye sockets on each skull start off a very light pink on the edges and fades to a black near the outer rim of the sockets. The same goes for the nose of each skull, pink near the back, black near the outer rim. Green vines flow through the nose and eye sockets of each skull. Different colored flowers, ranging from pink to green, and blue to orange, grow on the vines growing from out of the skulls. This chest tattoo is unique and original because it mixes a morbid image like a skull and the beautiful colors of flowers all in one tattoo. This is one chest tattoo that anyone would be interested in, because it mixes so many different styles of art into one piece of artwork. This is a really good tattoo.

Chest Tattoo
Chest Tattoo
This is a great representation of what an average person can do with a chest tattoo. Chest tattoos can be hidden or revealed at will, so you can put just about any design there. And because there is a lot of space to work with, chest tattoos can sport some pretty large designs with a lot of different elements in them. The chest tattoo in the picture is frequently referred to as a chest piece, because it covers from shoulder to shoulder like an armors chest piece. The wearer has combined several different things in his design. On one shoulder is written the word "love", on the other is written the word "hate". In the center of this chest piece is a hand holding cards, generally used to mean luck or chance. I would venture to say that the intended symbolism of this design is to infer that all things in this life are hanging on the whims of fate. And that includes love and hate or peace and war. The again, the bearer of this chest tattoo could have simply chosen the design because it looks really hot and is done in a more traditional type of style. What do you think?
